Spending his childhood in the Umpqua Valley of Southern Oregon, Jack Costa entered the wine trade at 17, learning winemaking from Stephen Reustle, a pioneer of American Gruner Veltliner. Jack attended Washington State University, enrolling in the Enology and Wine Business programs.
